More About Tobi

What is your athletic background?
I grew up playing various sports, competing in soccer, skiing, martial arts, football, and track.  Besides having the opportunity to be a sponsored athlete in Europe, I played football and ran track at the collegiate level in the United States.

How and when did you become familiar with CrossFit?
I stumbled over CrossFit through an internet video of people doing “crazy” stuff and I thought once I’m done with college athletics, that’s what I want to do as well!

Why do you coach CrossFit?
Through my studies of health and medical sciences, I know that movement is medicine. If I can help someone to improve their movements and help to increase their vitality, I have a direct impact on their health and future life.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about CrossFit?
Start before you are ready! In order to get the most out of life and be able to enjoy a walk to the creamery with your grandchildren, you need to be able to move. Come to one of our classes, check out the place, and let our coaches help you find the best version of yourself!

What inspires you to train and improve daily?
If I want to inspire others to chase the best version of themselves and pour out of my cup into theirs daily, I have to make sure I am taking care of myself. I get that through coming to CrossFit Unitas every week, and enjoy class with the community.
